COLOMBO : Pakistan national cricket team’s Super Eight match against New Zealand national cricket team at the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup was washed out due to rain on Saturday.
Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha won the toss and elected to bat in the Group Two contest, but persistent rain prevented the start of play, with puddles forming on the covers and outfield.
Both teams received one point each from the abandoned fixture, the opening match of the Super Eight stage.
Pakistan next face England on Tuesday, while New Zealand take on co-hosts Sri Lanka on Wednesday.
