DOHA: Al Rayyan wrapped up their group-stage campaign in the Gulf Champions League with a 3-1 victory over Oman’s Al Nahda at Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium on Tuesday.
The win in the sixth and final round of Group Two lifted Al Rayyan to 12 points, cementing their place at the top of the standings after having already secured qualification for the semi-finals.
Al Nahda, the Oman Sultan Cup holders, missed a second opportunity to seal their own passage to the last four. They remain second in the group on seven points, with their semi-final hopes left in the balance.
