In other matches, Al Duhail SC cruised to a 37-23 win over Al Shamal SC to move into second place on 26 points, with Al Shamal staying 10th on 12.
Al Rayyan SC beat Al Wakrah SC 26-21 to climb to third place with 24 points, while Al Wakrah remained seventh on 17.
Al Sadd SC secured a 27-22 victory over Al Gharafa SC to move into fourth place on 21 points, leaving Al Gharafa ninth with 15.In the remaining fixture, Al Khor SC edged Al Ahli SC 20-19 to rise to fifth place on 20 points, while Al Ahli slipped to sixth with 19.
