DOHA: Qatari referees have been appointed to officiate several fixtures in the AFC Champions League and the AFC Champions League 2 as part of the Asian Football Confederation’s latest referee assignments.
A Qatari officiating team will take charge of Tuesday’s clash between Buriram United and Shanghai Port in Thailand, led by international referee Abdulrahman Al Jassim.
Another Qatari crew, headed by international official Mohammed Al Shammari, will oversee Wednesday’s match between Melbourne City and Jeonbuk Hyundai Motors.
In Sharjah, Qatari referee Mishari Al Shammari will serve on the Video Assistant Referee (VAR) team for the encounter between Sharjah FC and Nasaf Qarshi.
In the AFC Champions League 2, Abdulrahman Abdo has been appointed referee assessor for the match between Al Nassr and Arkadag in Riyadh next Wednesday.
