DOHA :The Qatar Stars League Foundation (QSLF) took part in National Sports Day activities on Tuesday at Stadium 974, reaffirming its commitment to promoting physical activity, public health and an active lifestyle across the community.
The annual event, held on the second Tuesday of February, was attended by QSLF officials, employees and their families, creating what the foundation described as a lively sporting atmosphere that reflected positive sporting values.
According to the foundation’s official website, the programme featured a range of sports and recreational activities, including exercise sessions and walking, alongside games dedicated to children. The activities aimed to provide an interactive family environment and to highlight sport as a way of life for all segments of society.
“Sports Day is a wonderful annual initiative and an extension of Qatar National Vision 2030, which places people at the heart of development,” Hani Taleb Ballan, CEO of the Qatar Stars League Foundation, said.
He added that the initiative seeks to raise awareness of the importance of physical activity not only for athletes but for society as a whole, contributing to improved health and self-confidence.
“This day is a message to everyone that physical activity should be part of the daily programme throughout the year, alongside adopting a healthy diet that supports a healthy lifestyle,” Ballan said.
He noted that the foundation’s participation reflects its belief in the role of sport in building a healthy and balanced society and forms part of its broader strategy to support initiatives that encourage active living and promote positive sporting values across generations.
