DOHA : Al Sadd coach Roberto Mancini said his side are ready for a demanding encounter against Al Shahaniya in the 15th round of the Doha Bank Stars League in the 2025-2026 season.
“The next match will be difficult, because every match is difficult for us,” Mancini told a news conference. “All the teams that face Al Sadd play with great strength.”
Mancini pointed to Al Shahaniya’s victory over Al Sadd in the first leg as a warning to his players, stressing the need for full concentration.
“Al Shahaniya beat us in the first leg, so we need to be at the highest level of focus for this match,” he said. “The players must be strong in every match and also in every training session. Only in this way can we win the league title.”
Midfielder Mohamed Kamara echoed his coach’s caution, underlining the importance of the fixture as Al Sadd continue their title push.
“It will not be an easy match,” Kamara said. “Al Shahaniya are a good team with outstanding players. It depends on us to be 100% ready. We are going through a good period and we want to continue achieving victories.”
Kamara added that Al Sadd’s recent win over Al Gharafa had been significant in the standings.
“It was important to beat Al Gharafa because they were five points ahead of us,” he said. “We won and now we are only two points behind them. For us, it’s about winning every game, taking it one match at a time, and then we’ll see what happens.”
