DOHA : Al-Sailiya coach Mirghani Al-Zein said his side are ready for their crucial clash with Al-Gharafa in the 15th round of the Doha Bank Football League for the 2025-2026 season.
“Our team has gone through its usual weekly preparations and is fully ready to compete,” Al-Zein said. “We are looking forward to achieving a positive result.”
Al-Zein acknowledged the challenge posed by Al-Gharafa, describing them as one of the league’s traditional title contenders.
“We know the match will be difficult because we are facing a big team that always competes for championships, and we will enter the game with full respect for the opponent,” he added.
Al-Sailiya will be without several key players, with midfielder Younes Belhanda suspended and defender Kilian also missing from the back line.
“We desperately need to win, especially as we are competing in the lower positions,” Al-Zein said. “Securing the points would give us a better position in the standings.”
Al-Sailiya striker Anwar Al-Ghazi echoed his coach’s sentiments, saying the team had prepared well despite the difficulty of the task.
“The match will be tough, but we have prepared well for it,” Al-Ghazi said. “I am trying to help the team as much as possible and I am ready to give everything I have.”
