DOHA : A four-day course on technical analysis and overall football performance opened on Sunday in Doha, organised jointly by the Development Department of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) and Al Kass television channels.
The programme is being held at the Development Department Hall and is led by Fahad Thani Al-Zaraa, Director of the Development Department, alongside a group of specialists in football technical analysis. The course aims to help Al Kass analysts keep pace with modern developments in the game and to contribute to building a new generation of analysts aligned with football’s evolving demands.
Sunday’s sessions focused on the principles of attacking and defensive play, followed by a lecture entitled “The Four Cases in Football,” both delivered by Al-Zaraa. A third lecture, “Technical Statistics in Football,” was presented by Samir Barbeki.
The second day of the course will feature lectures on the technical analysis of youth matches and physical readiness analysis by Ibrahim Al-Shafei, as well as a session on playing systems and principles of play by Jonathan.
On the third day, Jonathan will deliver lectures on the technical analysis of player positioning and player performance, while Mohamed Jado will present a session titled “Beyond Basic Statistics.”
The final day will include lectures on performance indicators, protecting players under media scrutiny and the media code of conduct by Jado, as well as sessions on modern trends in football and “The Player of the Future,” both presented by Al-Zaraa.
The course is part of a wider series of educational programmes organised by the QFA’s Development Department, aimed at equipping participants with the latest knowledge and practices in modern football.
