RIYADH: Qatari driver Nasser Saleh Al Attiyah clinched the Hail Toyota International Baja Rally title for the sixth time in his career at the 21st edition of the event in 2026.
Al Attiyah, partnered by French co-driver Max Delfino in an OPTIMUS MD rally car, topped the overall classification after completing the final 323-km special stage in a total time of four hours, six minutes and 32 seconds.
Saudi Arabia’s Yazeed Al Rajhi finished second overall, 42 seconds behind Al Attiyah, while Saudi driver Dania Akeel claimed third place, 14 minutes adrift of the leader.
In the Challenger class, Saudi driver Yasser Al Saeedan took victory, followed by Omani Hamad Al Wahaibi in second. Qatari Abdulaziz Al Kuwari completed the podium in third.
British rider Alex McInnes won the motorcycle category in four hours, 55 minutes and 17 seconds. Emirati Mohammed Al Balooshi placed second, 34 minutes and 24 seconds back, with fellow Emirati Sultan Al Balooshi finishing third, a further two minutes behind.
In the local category, Saudi driver Faris Al Shammari claimed first place, ahead of compatriot Muteb Al Qanoun in second, while Khalaf Al Waj’an finished third.
