DOHA: The fourth and final round of the HH The Father Amir Prix 2026 begins today at the Longines Arena in Al Shaqab.
The three-day event will feature many of the world’s leading riders and carries a total prize purse of more than 1.2 million euros, part of a four-round series with combined prize money exceeding 3.3 million euros.
The finale will be staged across three arenas: the Longines Indoor Arena, the Longines Main Outdoor Arena and the Outdoor Auxiliary Arena.
Eight classes will be contested across one-star, three-star, four-star and five-star categories, with competition running from morning until evening.
The round marks the conclusion of the HH The Father Amir Prix within the Doha Equestrian Tour 2026, a 10-round series offering total prize money of more than 10 million euros.
The final standings will determine the overall leader in the Star category, which carries prize money of 100,000 euros, as well as the champions of the four-star and five-star categories, which share a combined purse of 500,000 euros.
Britain’s Scott Brash leads the four-star and five-star standings with 144 points, ahead of American Eve Jobs on 95 points and Britain’s Harry Charles on 84.
In the one-star category, Qatar’s Saad Ahmed Al Saad tops the rankings with 49 points, followed by fellow Qatari Hussein Saeed Haidan on 43.
Today’s opening day begins in the Longines Outdoor Arena with a three-star class at 135 cm, followed by a three-star class at 140 cm, and a five-star class at 140 cm at 1630 local time. The day will conclude with a five-star class at 150 cm at 1930.
The Longines Indoor Arena will host a Star class at 120 cm at 1500, followed by a 60 cm local class for emerging riders. In the Outdoor Auxiliary Arena, a three-star class at 125 cm will be followed by a Star class at 110 cm.
Competition continues on Friday with 10 classes. The Longines Outdoor Arena will host a three-star class at 130 cm, a three-star class at 145 cm and a five-star jump-off class at 155 cm, before concluding with a five-star class featuring six obstacles, the second event of the championship.
The Longines Indoor Arena will stage the Star class, a children’s riders’ competition, a five-star class at 145 cm and a local class, while the Outdoor Auxiliary Arena will host a three-star class at 140 cm.
The event concludes on Saturday with eight competitions, highlighted by the Grand Prix events across three categories.
