DOHA: Police continued their fine form in the Qatar Volleyball League for men with a straight-sets victory over Al Khor in the second round on Thursday at the Qatar Volleyball Association hall.
Fresh from their return from Tunisia, where they claimed their maiden title at the 44th Arab Men’s Volleyball Club Championship, Police were in control throughout, winning 25-16, 25-15 and 25-18. The result lifted Police to 24 points and fourth place in the standings, while Al Khor stayed seventh on 11 points.
In another match played with the same scoreline, Qatar SC defeated Al Shamal 3-0, taking the sets 25-18, 25-20 and 25-21. The win moved Qatar SC to 19 points in fifth place, with Al Shamal remaining eighth on nine points.
The league, which features 10 clubs, continues on Friday with a single second-round fixture between Al Ahli, who are sixth with 16 points, and bottom-placed Al Sadd, who have two points.
