DOHA : Al-Shahaniya assistant coach Bezman Montazeri said his side faces a tough challenge when they meet Al-Wakrah on Thursday in the 14th round of the Doha Stars League, describing their opponents as a well-organised team with strong ball control.
Montazeri said the improvement in Al-Shahaniya’s results since he assumed technical leadership had been driven by his confidence in the players, while also thanking the club’s management for backing him.
“The secret behind our return is the trust I have in the players,” Montazeri said, adding that he had asked the squad to focus on their own strengths. “I’m very happy with what they have delivered so far.”
Al-Shahaniya player Mohammed Ibrahim said the team would approach the match with the aim of securing victory to climb the league standings.
“We need to maintain our recent level and fully apply the technical staff’s instructions to achieve better results,” Ibrahim said. “That will help put the team in a stronger position going forward.”
