DOHA: Al Markhiya beat Al Khor 2-1 to advance to the quarter-finals of the QSL Football Cup in the 2025–26 season after their knockout-stage match at Abdullah bin Khalifa Stadium on Tuesday.
Al Khor took the lead in the 20th minute when Algerian forward Sofiane Hanni found the net, but Al Markhiya drew level before the break through Lucas Gabriel in the 42nd minute to send the teams into halftime locked at 1-1.
Al Markhiya took control after the restart and secured victory when Mohammed Sar scored the winner in the 57th minute, sealing their place in the last eight of the competition.
