DOHA: Al Rayyan coach Artur Jorge and Al Shamal coach David Prats addressed the media ahead of their much-anticipated Doha Bank Stars League Week 13 encounter, scheduled for Saturday in the 2025–2026 season.
Artur Jorge underlined the significance of the fixture, particularly in light of the first-leg outcome. He described Al Shamal as one of the strongest sides in the league and a genuine title contender, stressing that Al Rayyan are determined to reclaim the three points they previously lost. “We are fully prepared and focused. We don’t talk about pressure — we know our responsibilities and what is required from us,” he said, adding that every match and every point now carries added importance.
On the other side, Al Shamal coach David Prats acknowledged the challenge of facing an in-form Al Rayyan side packed with quality players and guided by an experienced coaching staff. Despite recent setbacks, Prats emphasized his team’s ambition to bounce back. “We are aiming for victory to recover the points dropped in the last two rounds and to stay among the top teams in the standings,” he noted.
With both teams targeting crucial points and positioning near the top of the table, Saturday’s clash promises to be a highly competitive and decisive contest.
