DOHA: Qatari shooters Rashid Saleh Al-Athba and Reem Al-Sharshani claimed the gold medal in the mixed team skeet event on the fifth day of the Asian Shotgun Championship Doha 2026, currently underway at the Lusail Shooting Complex.
The championship, which runs until next Wednesday, features 196 male and female shooters from 17 countries.
Today’s competitions were highly competitive, beginning with the qualification rounds and culminating in the mixed team skeet final. The Qatari duo delivered an outstanding performance to secure first place and the gold medal with a total of 47 targets.
The South Korean team of Jang Soo-hwang and Koki Jang finished second, earning the silver medal with 45 targets, while Kazakhstan’s Eduard Yashchenko and Asim Ornbay took third place and the bronze medal with 39 targets.
With this achievement, Qatar increased its overall medal haul in the skeet competitions to six medals, comprising three gold and three silver.
