DOHA: The Qatar Athletics Federation announced on Sunday that it will stage the first edition of the “Doha Runs” event next Tuesday at Khalifa International Stadium. The event will be held on the stadium’s track and will feature running races over various distances.
In a statement, the Federation said the initiative is being organized in partnership with Puma, the official partner responsible for outfitting Qatar’s national athletics teams. The event aims to promote running as a core discipline and the foundation of athletics.
Participation will be open to all athletes, including club-registered runners who compete in Federation-organized events during the season, as well as members of the Qatari community of all ages. The Federation said the inclusive format is designed to encourage wider engagement and help participants gain technical benefits from the sport.
The activities will run for three hours, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on the track at Khalifa International Stadium.
