The Referees Department of the Qatar Football Association has announced the implementation of advanced technology through the Qatar Player App (QPA). The app has been used to support performance analysis of Qatar Stars League players and national teams and will now also include physical and technical performance data for elite referees. The application has been developed and provided by Aspire Academy.
The new feature was officially unveiled last week during a joint meeting between the Referees Department and Aspire Academy. The meeting was attended by Hani Taleb Ballan, Chairman of the Referees Committee, and Jassim Al Hail, Vice Chairman.
Also present were Valentin Ivanov, Technical Expert at the Referees Department, fitness coaches Hatem Al Bouji and Kulthoum Al Mutawa, and representatives from Aspire Academy. These included Professor Walter Di Salvo, Director of Football Performance and Science, Daniele Bonanno, Football Performance Coordinator, and Andrea Fornasiero, Head of Football Physiology.
