Doha: WTT Champions Doha 2026 is primed to command global attention as the world’s finest table tennis stars converge on Lusail Sports Arena for five days of unmissable action from 7–11 January 2026.

For the first time ever, the iconic purple glow of WTT Champions will light up Doha. With a coveted 1,000 ITTF World Ranking points at stake, the tournament wastes no time in delivering blockbuster encounters from the very first serve.

Women’s Singles: Wang Manyu vs the Rising Wave

Fresh from lifting the WTT Finals trophy for a second time last month, Wang Manyu closed out 2025 in commanding fashion.

The Chinese star now sets her sights on back-to-back titles to begin the new season—but Doha offers no gentle entry. Her opening challenge comes in the form of former WTT Champions winner Satsuki Odo, a clash that could send shockwaves through the entire draw.

The winner of that showdown will advance to face either Prithika Pavade or Qatar’s Aia Mohamed, who makes her WTT Champions debut on home soil.

Backed by a passionate local crowd, Mohamed will be eager to turn opportunity into a statement performance.
Elsewhere, a compelling generational rivalry is renewed as Miwa Harimoto and Shin Yubin meet once again on the Champions stage.

Harimoto held the upper hand in both of their meetings last season, and the Japanese prodigy arrives in Doha determined to rebound after her narrow defeat to Hina Hayata in the blockbuster final at WTT Champions Frankfurt.

Drama is guaranteed across the bracket. Mima Ito and Miyu Nagasaki are set on a collision course barely a month after their unforgettable seven-game thriller at WTT Finals Hong Kong 2025.

Meanwhile, last season’s breakout star Sabine Winter renews her growing rivalry with European powerhouse Bernadette Szocs, in another contest that promises fireworks.

With elite talent, high stakes, and a historic debut in Qatar, WTT Champions Doha 2026 is shaping up to be a tournament where every rally matters—and every moment counts.
