NEW DELHI: The Junior Cricket Committee has announced the India Under-19 squad for the upcoming three-match One-Day series against South Africa and the ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup, scheduled to be held in Zimbabwe and Namibia from January 15 to February 6, 2026.
Led by Ayush Mhatre, India have been placed in Group B alongside New Zealand, USA and Bangladesh. Talented batting all-rounder Vihaan Malhotra will serve as Mhatre’s deputy at the tournament, which will culminate with the final in Harare.
India will begin their World Cup campaign against the USA on January 15 at the Queens Sports Club in Bulawayo. They will then face Bangladesh at the same venue on January 17, before wrapping up their group-stage fixtures against New Zealand on January 24.
Ahead of the global event, the India Under-19 side will tour South Africa for a three-match One-Day series in Benoni, using the assignment as vital preparation as they set their sights on youth world honours once again.
