Al Arabi secured a hard-fought 95-84 victory against Al Gharafa in the final matchup of the fifth round in the men’s general basketball league for the 2025-2026 season. The game, held on Saturday evening, November 8, 2025, at Al Gharafa Sports Hall, bolstered Al Arabi’s position at the top of the standings and set the stage for intense battles with fellow frontrunners in upcoming rounds.
Al Gharafa started strongly, capitalizing on home-court advantage and vocal crowd support to claim the first quarter 24-19. Al Arabi regained composure in the second, outscoring their hosts 32-25 to level the contest heading into halftime amid high drama. The third quarter saw Al Arabi edge ahead by a slim 19-18 margin, before dominating the fourth 25-17 to seal the win. The comeback highlighted Al Arabi’s resilience in overcoming an early deficit and withstanding intense pressure from the opposition.
