Doha: The Qatar Table Tennis Association (QTTA) successfully organized the first edition of the Table Tennis Juniors Festival for the 2025–2026 sports season on Saturday, attracting strong participation from young players representing clubs affiliated with the federation
The event witnessed intense competition among rising talents who form the foundation and future of the sport in the years ahead.
More than 50 players from various clubs took part in the festival, which featured three age categories — born in 2016, 2017, and 2018 or younger.
Competitions for the first and second categories were held under a group-stage format, with the top two from each group advancing to a single-elimination knockout stage.
The third category focused on assessing the players’ fundamental skills, aimed at enhancing their technical abilities from an early stage.
In the 2017 category, Ziyan Su from Al Sadd Club claimed first place, followed by Ghanem Abdulaziz Al-Suwaidi from Qatar SC in second. Shinen Sen and Michael George from Al Arabi Club shared third place.
In the 2016 category, Mohammed Nour Qabbawah from Qatar SC won the top spot, with Asr Sharbasi from Al Ahli Club finishing second, while Shin Kinzen from Al Sadd and Mohammed Nasser from Al Shamal shared third place.
