Doha: The events of the third round of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour (9th edition) was held in Friday.
The competition is organized by the Qatar Equestrian Federation in partnership with Al Shaqab, a member of Qatar Foundation, at the indoor arena.
The tournament runs until May 2026.
The day’s competitions featured:
Future Riders’ Class at 70 cm
Open Class at 110 cm
Silver Class at 140 cm
Golden Class at 140 cm
Future Riders (70 cm)
1st place: rider Manar Rashid Al Shahwani on Frederikshof Zorro, clocking 51.93 seconds, just 0.07 seconds off the ideal time.
2nd place: rider Eva Al Jarmakani on Sittah, in 51.79 seconds.
3rd place: rider Alya Ahmed Al Khater on Kurapawn, in 52.78 seconds.
The winners were crowned by Abdullah Ali Al Qashouti, Head of Media and Live Broadcasting Committee of the Federation.
Open Class (110 cm)
1st place: rider Yaqoub Nasser Al Maadid on Cartoon, with a time of 19.53 seconds.
2nd place: rider Mohammed Dhafi Al-Ardi on Pontendro, in 20.68 seconds.
3rd place: rider Chun Yuen on Destiny, in 21.10 seconds.
Juniors’ Category
1st place: rider Chun Yuen again, this time on Just in Time, clocking 21.19 seconds.
2nd place: rider Shreida Nasser Al Kaabi on Cartoon, in 21.10 seconds.
3rd place: rider Sheikh Thani bin Jowan bin Hamad Al Thani on Extra Bam, in 23.23 seconds.
The winners were crowned by Waleed Al Jasem, Technical Director of the Kuwait Equestrian Federation, alongside Mohammed Saleh Al Marri, Head of Facilities and Logistics Committee.
Golden Class (140 cm)
1st place: rider Khalid Al Eid on Rakier, in 65.88 seconds.
2nd place: rider Badr Al Fard on Addison, in 66.37 seconds.
3rd place: rider Hamad Nasser Al Qadi on Levignon, in 68.25 seconds.
Team Competitions
1st place: Team Wuthnan, with a combined time of 129.48 seconds.
The awarding ceremony was conducted by Rashid Al Amri, Director of the National Show Jumping Team.
The round will continue today with silver, gold, and diamond classes, concluding with the 14th round of the Longines Hathab Qatar Equestrian Tour.
It is worth mentioning that Longines Hathab is one of the most prominent local equestrian championships, held across the arenas of the Qatar Equestrian Federation and Al Shaqab facilities, attracting strong participation from riders and teams across Qatar.
