DOHA: Qatar Stars League (QSL) club Al Ahli has signed Ivory Coast defensive midfielder Idrissa Doumbia from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon for a duration of two seasons.
25-year-old is known for his successful stints with several clubs such as Sporting Lisbon in Portugal, Alanyaspor in Turkey, Zulte Waregem and Anderlecht in Belgium, FC Grozny in Russia, and SD Huesca in Spain.
Another QSL club Al Rayyan Sports Club has announced the appointment of Portugal’s Leonardo Jardim as head coach for two seasons. Last season, Al Rayyan had finished ninth.
Ahead of the new season, Al Wakrah has signed Al Mahdi Ali from Al Gharafa for one season.
