New Delhi: Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) has joined hands with Football Delhi to be the Associate partner for the Football Delhi Women’s League
The governing body of football has announced the partnership for the Football Delhi Women’s League 2022-2 (FD Women’s Premier League and FD Women’s Championship Divisions).
The Football Delhi Women’s Premier League will be launched on August 18. It will witness a total of 9 teams competing in a Double Round Robin format with a total of 72 matches.
The Football Delhi Women’s Championship with a total of 15 participating teams will commence on August 25.
Member Secretary Vivek Kumar PSPB said “PSPB continues it’s endeavours in fuelling Energy in sports and specially Promotion of Women participation in Sport’s. I wish all the participants all the very best.”
Petroleum Sports Promotion Board (PSPB) was established in June, 1979 and has continued to promote sport all over India since then. Football Delhi aims to benefit from this collaboration aligning with PSPBs mission to encourage, develop, co-ordinate and organize various sports and games.
Shaji Prabhakaran, President Football Delhi said, ”PSPB has done exceptional work in promoting sports in India and it is very encouraging for all of us in Delhi that PSPB is coming forward to support our women’s league.”
