DOHA: Al Khor overcame Qatar Sports Club 1-0 in their last round match of Qatar Stars League on Thursday but the win couldn’t prevent them from being relegated to the Second Division.
Pierre-Michel Lasogga scored the only goal of the match in 90+2 minutes.
Al Khor finished 12th with 16 points, same as Al Sailiya, but the latter had a better goal difference (-19 as against Al Khor’s -25).
Sailiya will play the Relegation Play-Off against Second Division runners-up Al Kharaitiyat on March 19.
Qatar SC finished eighth place with 23 points.
