DOHA (Qatar): Defending champions Al Sadd will take on Al Rayyan in the first semifinal of Qatar Cup on Thursday.
The flagship tournament of Qatar Stars League will feature QSL winners Al Duhail and Al Gharafa in the other semis on February 26.
Al Sadd are in their elements and kept their 13-point lead over Al Duhail in the 2020-21 Qatar Stars League following their 3-0 win over Al Ahli on Saturday.
Sadd have 44 points while Duhail are on 31 points after they beat Al Rayyan 2-0 in a high-profile encounter last Sunday.
Al Rayyan found themselves being dropped from fourth to fifth position with 25 points.
The QNB Stars League’s Week 17 games will be played on February 22 and 23.
