DOHA (Qatar): Al Rayyan defeated Al Ahli 3-0 at the opening of the seventh round of the Qatar League on Friday.
Rayyan won 25-17, 25-22, 25-22 to take its points tally to 13 points to be in fourth place while Ahli remained on fifth spot with 11.
In another match, Al Wakrah defeated Al Gharafa 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-11) to raise its tally to 10 points in seventh place while Gharafa jumped to eighth with three points.
The matches will continue today with two more matches where Qatar Sports Club, who are second-ranked team with 14 points.
Al Sadd, ninth-ranked with three points, will face Al Arabi.
Arabi are currently third with 13 points with Al-Shamal on 10th place with just one point.
